WHAT DO WE NEED TO KNOW BEFORE ATTENDING?

If your specific question isn't answered below, please reach out to us and we'll get back to you as quickly as possible.

WHAT IS A HAUNTED GARAGE?
A haunted garage is a temporary, DIY haunted house attraction created inside a residential garage featuring props, mazes, lighting, and sound effects. It transforms a typical home space into an immersive experience for neighborhood kids and adults.

WHAT IS A HAUNTED PATH?
Similar concept to a haunted garage, however an outdoor path. Our path winds through our front and backyards, to the entrance of the haunted garage.

WHAT AGES IS IT INTENDED FOR?
The haunted path is very low scare and is intended for kids & adults of all ages, from 0-100. The path could get slippery based on traffic and weather conditions, so please enter with caution.

The haunted garage is designed with trick-or-treat age kids in mind. If we had to give a specific age group, we'd say 7-13 year old children are the target audience. That being said, we have 4 year old visitors that can't get enough of it and 40 year old parents that can't get out of the garage fast enough! We even had a grown adult mom "pee a little" in 2025. Mission Accomplished!

I HAVE A TEENAGER, WILL THEY ENJOY IT?
They're teenagers, so who knows!? We have had several in the 15-18 year range attend and went through it multiple times on multiple nights. So, it's worth a shot. It's free, so what do you have to lose!

IS IT SCARY?
Each year, we hope to find the perfect balance of "scary enough" without traumatizing anyone. If your child is extremely sensitive, they may not enjoy the experience. We highly encourage parents/guardians walk-through the garage prior to taking children through to ensure you're comfortable with them participating. We utilize jumping animatronics, fake blood/gore, fog, strobe lights, special effects, and smells to provide an immersive experience for all. The haunted path is very low scare and is designed for younger kids.

WILL MY KID CRY?
Every kid is different, so this is a tough one to answer. If your child solely watches cartoons and has never seen a crime show on primetime TV, this will likely be a shock to them. If you watch the occasional crime drama with them, I believe they'll handle our experience fine.

Out of over 1,100 visitors in 2025, I believe we saw less than 10 kids with tears in their eyes and a handful of full-on sobs. But, at least half of them wanted to go through it again! It was fun seeing them face their fear and beating it! Again, walk-through it prior to ensure you, as there guardian are comfortable, before sending a kid in.

PRO-TIP: Mom/Dad/Grandpa/Grandma - be prepared to carry your younger ones through. You wouldn't believe how many kids we saw come out clinging tight to an adult. Be ready to work those upper body muscles!

WHAT DOES IT COST TO ENTER?
There is never a charge to enter the haunted path or haunted garage. We do accept monetary and food donations for local causes, however this is not expected or required. ALL ARE WELCOME!

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
As long as you want it to last! This isn't a big attraction, it is at a residence after all!
Haunted Path: figure 3 minutes, but some kids sprint through it and are done in 30 seconds.
Haunted Garage: about the same, figure 3 minutes.
So, 6 minutes or so total.

PRO-TIP: As there is no charge, please go through any aspect of the attraction as many times as you'd like! We just ask that you wait in line to ensure others who haven't seen it yet have the opportunity to do so + don't spill the beans or share any surprises. We want it to be an awesome and new experience for all!

DO YOU HAVE SCARE ACTORS?
In 2025 we didn't, however going forward - we're considering doing so. Not so much to scare, but to assist with crowd management, etc. We had a few young visitors last year that took it upon themselves to stay in the garage to scare unsuspecting guests. This was not intentional, so we're hoping that some trained actors can help prevent this in the future.

WHEN ARE YOU OPEN?
Select dates in October and of course on Halloween night. Please visit the home page for our schedule. Subject to change based on weather conditions. Oh yeah, and sporting events that our kids participate in.

I LIVE 20 MINUTES AWAY. IS IT WORTH THE DRIVE?
Depends on what your expectations are! We had visitors from as far as the Twin Cities last year. They enjoyed it. But, I'm sure we had visitors from town that thought it was lame. If you want a full-on haunted house, this isn't it. If you're testing the water with your children visiting haunted houses and your expectations aren't set too high - come on over. We'd love to have you visit and we'll do everything we can to give you an enjoyable experience!

Get to know us

Thanks for stopping by! We created our first Haunted Garage in 2024. We had organized a Halloween themed dirt bike race for our kids in early October that year. As we were putting all of the decorations away prior to Halloween, we felt it was foolish to not utilize for Halloween night. The rest is history! We were hooked!

We can't wait to scare (I mean see) you in October!
